I can tell you I DEFINITELY got out of my comfort zone…

Between:

✅ Managing our business and being an entrepreneur

and

✅ Managing a bustling household as a Mom with 3 kids going every which way

I still DECIDED to dive headfirst into something new…

…something very uncomfortable…

@daveregula and I completed our first ever Brazilian Jujutsu lesson yesterday! 🥋

🤔 Why?

Because I love being a student.

I love learning something new.

I love a challenge.

Because it’s freaking UNCOMFORTABLE and hard and I wanted to get into that space again for the sake of GROWTH!

I’m not afraid to be a beginner.

I’m not afraid to be the person in the room that knows nothing (and trust me, I know nothing about jujitsu - yet).

Because I know, in order to get anywhere WORTH going, I just needed to START!

So here I am… STARTING on my next adventure…

…and it looks like S-mounts, rear choke holds, and arm bars are going to be filling my dreams 🫡💭

Today’s workout was awesome. I loved it!

One thing I need to remember, when exercising, is to marry what I love doing, and what is good for me.

One thing a coach said to me a long time ago was “Do you want results, or do you want to be entertained?”

Often times the workouts that produce the best results are the ones that have been consistently completed over time…

that means that I continue to do similar movements over, and over, and over, and over…

And I’m OK with that. As I like to say, it’s the beautifully boring work that gets results.” (Shout out to Geam Canada softball and Rafter for that one.)

so I do my best to incorporate the things I know I need to do, with the things that I really like to do.

That done together, create a sustainable, enjoyable, results producing work out!

A1.) 10 reps of heavy hip thrusts
A2.) 8/arm Renegade Rows
B1.) 8 reps Heel Raised Back Squat
B2.) 10 Curl and Press
C1.) 10 Back Extension

Cheers to Summer, and no not the season.

Since you became part of our family a year and a half ago you’ve taught us a lot and I want to share some of the most consistent lessons:

1.) You’ve taught us (or forced us) to learn how to use a Bissel Carpet cleaner... not easy initially, but we figured it out! 🧼

2.) You’ve taught us what unconditional love looks like... even though it all goes towards me... at least the kids get to witness it. ♥️

3.) You’ve taught us what it is like to own a cat disguised as a pug... some members of our fam always wanted a cat and little did we know that we would get one... just in a different package. 🐱

4.) You’ve brought so much humor to our everyday life... your non-stop commentary has brought more joy than I ever knew was possible... 😂

5.) For real though... we love your sneezing, snorting, wheezing, shedding, and sassy AF self and we LOVE YOU SO MUCH! 🐾💝
